What is ERVO?
ERVO meetings address common issues/questions that affect research vessel operators for
the purpose of identifying solutions for improving services to the scientific community and developing best practice in the operation of Research Vessels. Members present their National Reports on activities, including any future acquisitions/upgrades.
The ERVO Meetings provide an opportunity for RV Managers to exchange information on their
national fleets, highlighting trends in the requirements for sea-going vessels and new
technological developments for R.V. operations.
Presentations on new vessel builds are invited and a number of special topics is discussed at each meeting

Venue
The conference sessions and lunches will be held on Museo del Mar de Galicia (The Sea Museum of Galicia) is located in the old canned food factory of Alcabre-Molino de Viento (1887) in Vigo.
At first, the renovation of the building was allocated to Aldo Rossi and César Portela. After Rossi's death, the work ends in 2002, under the direction and revision of César Portela, who looked over the original project.
The resulting building is a mixture of avant-garde and tradition, composed of a five restored bays, a newly constructed building also with five bays and the extension of an existing quay, home of an aquarium and a lighthouse.

The venue is located at 15 mins by car or taxi.
